About the author:
She was born in 1948 in Zavidovići. She graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1971 in the class of Professor Marijan Detoni. After her studies, she spent a long time in Switzerland, which significantly influenced her artistic development.
She began her solo exhibition career in 1976 and has held 56 solo exhibitions to date. She has participated in over one hundred group exhibitions across Croatia and abroad, and has received numerous recognitions and awards for painting. She is a member of the Croatian Association of Fine Artists in Rijeka.
Besides in Opatija where she lives, the artist occasionally works in her studio in Rovinj Selo in Istria, where she draws inspiration from the unique Mediterranean ambiance. Her oeuvre is characterized by a synthetic approach to painting with a pronounced sense of color and composition, which is the result of many years of experience and continuous artistic exploration.
