Jurić Duje – Untitled 1

He was born in 1956 in Rupe. He began his artistic education at the School of Applied Arts and continued at the Zagreb Academy of Fine Arts, graduating in the class of Prof. V. Jordan. He was a collaborator in the master workshops of Lj. Ivančić and N. Raiser. In 1984, he began his exhibition activity, and over thirty years of artistic practice, he has exhibited in about sixty solo and one hundred group exhibitions, carried out several actions, and participated in numerous artistic projects, among which his environments (light installations) and scenographic-painterly works within the project “Kugla glumišta” stand out the most. Parallel to this, he worked as a restorer; since 2000, he has been a docent at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, and today he serves as an associate professor in the Department of Painting and Drawing.
