About the author:

He was born in 1939 in Sušak, Rijeka. He graduated in sculpture from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb and lives and works in Rijeka as a member of HDLU Rijeka. Throughout his career, he created numerous sculptures and sculptural portraits of figures from Croatian history, and realized several monuments in Croatia, Slovenia, and Austria, for which he received significant awards and recognitions. His works are part of the permanent collection of the HAZU Glyptotheque, and he participated in over a hundred exhibitions domestically and internationally. Although he worked with glass, wood, and metal, his primary material remains stone, which he skillfully processes to retain its natural roughness while giving it fineness, always with deep respect for its elemental nature.
