Kram Anna Maria – Untitled

She was born in 1969 in Koscian, Poland. She completed a two-year program at the Art Teacher’s School before studying at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, where she graduated from the painting department. She was an assistant to her mentor in his studio and in 2000 defended her doctoral dissertation in painting. She currently teaches at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw. The author of numerous works exhibited in group and solo exhibitions, awarded scholarships. She travels across Europe getting to know its cities and gaining experiences valuable to her work. The year 2004 is especially important for her work in terms of finding a compatible expression for her artistic being – a compact form of dissolved color combined with drawing and painting skills.

Her painting falls within the tendencies of pictorial minimalism towards purity and universality of the painting language. Her painting embodies the ideal of autonomy of the plastic sign and matter as the reality of the visual artwork.
