About the author:
Željko Kranjčević – Winter was born in 1960 in Rijeka. He completed the fine arts and graphic design course at the Faculty of Education in Rijeka in the class of Prof. Butković. He is a member of HDLU Rijeka.
So far, he has held several solo and numerous group exhibitions both in Croatia and abroad. He lives and works in Rijeka.
In his sculptural work, he shapes wood, achieving an organic unity with the nature of the material. His approach is characterized by deep respect for the natural properties of wood – its density, compactness of the core, color and texture, and growth characteristics.
