Labaš Lucija – Corals from Mauritius (9 pcs)

She was born in 1975 in Zagreb. She graduated in painting and holds a PhD in Painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, completing her doctoral postgraduate study at the same Academy (“The Concept and Role of Texture in Painting: A Development Overview and Attempt at Definition”). Since 2004, she has been working at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, currently as an assistant professor. Her artistic activities encompass painting, drawing, collage, photography, object art, artist books, and video, through which she has presented at prestigious video festivals and events such as the video work “Cyborg Dream” shown at the Pop Rally Abstract Currents event at the MoMA Museum in New York, the video work “Networking” selected for the international artistic video festival Cologne OFF X / 10th Cologne International Videoart Festival Total Art in the category One Minute Wonder, exhibited in Cologne, Düsseldorf, Meghalaya/India, Cuzco/Peru, Miden/Greece. The video work “Wirsind Hunde” was included in the Art Film and Video Festival WOW.01 – The W:OW Art Film and Video Festival @ Video Vortex XI @ Kochi Muziris Biennale 2016/2017 at The New Museum of Networked Art, Kerala/INDIA, … Since 2000, she has regularly exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Croatia and abroad, and has been the leader of several solo and group artistic projects. She has participated in professional artistic training and study trips in Cuba, Mauritius, and France. She is a member of HDLU and HULULK.
