About the author:
She was born in 1967 in Port Louis, Mauritius. She completed art and design school (Epsom School of Art & Design) in Surrey, UK, and then studied at L’Institut Supérieur des Arts Appliqués in Paris. She is a recipient of the Juliet Gomperts Memorial Scholarship from London, followed by a scholarship that funded her study trip to Tuscany. Love then took her to Germany where she worked at the Kunstflug Design Studio specializing in product design. At that time, she participated in art competitions, winning first prize at one, which marked the beginning of her artistic career in Germany. In 1997, she moved into her own studio in Düsseldorf. To date, she has held about fifteen solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Germany, Mauritius, Slovenia, Luxembourg, Italy, France, Croatia, and the UK. She has received five awards, including one in Croatia (Riva Art, Fažana), and the most recent at the Contemporary Art Festival in France (Senlis). She lives and works in Hilden, Germany. Her art always has a multiethnic and multicultural background, with an understanding and respect for her own national culture and tradition.
