About the author:

Born in 1953 in Livorno. As a young man, he followed his grandfather, a renowned Italian painter, acquainting himself with the period of Italian painting at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
In 1968, he enrolled at the School of Applied Arts (Liceo Artistico) and devoted himself to his painterly instinct. By 1972, he had his first solo exhibition in Milan, where his work was valued for the personality expressed in his vedute. Numerous exhibitions followed across Italy, establishing him as a distinguished figurative artist. During his many travels, he embraced and developed themes that diverge from our established perceptions, maturing his artistic experience. While living in the USA and Sri Lanka in 1987, he found an innovative approach which he incorporated into his paintings. In 1990, he was appointed secretary of the Gruppo Labronico, one of the oldest artistic associations, which had members in its history such as Annigoni, Modigliani, and Nomellini. He lives and works in Livorno, which dedicated an anthological exhibition to him at “Bottini dell’olio”. To date, he has exhibited in numerous exhibitions in public and private galleries. In 2000, he was among the artists selected for the millennium celebration, in 2002 he exhibited in New York, and in 2003 at the Brussels Parliament.
