About the author:
Born in 1953 in Livorno. As a young man, he follows his grandfather, a well-known Italian painter, becoming acquainted with the period of Italian painting at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
In 1968, he enrolls in the school of applied arts (Liceo Artistico) and dedicates himself to his painting instinct. By 1972, he holds his first solo exhibition in Milan where his work is appreciated for the personality expressed through his vedute. Numerous exhibitions follow throughout Italy, affirming him as an accomplished figurative artist. During his many travels, he embraces and develops themes that are distant from our usual perceptions while simultaneously maturing his artistic experience. Living in the USA and Sri Lanka in 1987, he finds an innovative approach which he introduces into his paintings. In 1990, he was appointed secretary of the Gruppo Labronico, one of the oldest artist associations, whose history includes members such as Annigoni, Modigliani, and Nomellini. He lives and works in Livorno, which dedicated an anthology exhibition to him in the “Bottini dell’olio”. To date, he has exhibited in numerous shows in public and private galleries. In 2000, he was among the artists selected to mark the millennium; in 2002 he exhibited in New York, and in 2003 at the Brussels Parliament.
