About the author:

Born in 1953 in Livorno. As a young man, he follows his grandfather, a renowned Italian painter, getting acquainted with the period of Italian painting at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
In 1968, he enrolls in the school of applied arts (Liceo Artistico) and devotes himself to his painting instinct. By 1972, he has his first solo exhibition in Milan, where his work is appreciated for the personality expressed by his vedute. Numerous exhibitions follow throughout Italy, establishing him as an accomplished figurative artist. On his many travels, he embraces and develops themes distant from our conventional perceptions, while his artistic experience matures. Staying in the USA and Sri Lanka in 1987, he finds an innovative approach that he incorporates into his paintings. In 1990, he is appointed secretary of the Labronico Group, one of the oldest artist associations, whose members have included Annigoni, Modigliani, and Nomellini. He lives and works in Livorno, which dedicated an anthological exhibition to him at “Bottini dell’olio.” To date, he has exhibited in numerous exhibitions in public and private galleries. In 2000, he was among the artists selected to mark the millennium, in 2002 exhibited in New York, and in 2003 at the Brussels Parliament.
