About the author:

Born in 1953 in Livorno. As a young man, he follows his grandfather, a well-known Italian painter, familiarizing himself with the period of Italian painting at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
In 1968, he enrolled in the school of applied arts (Liceo Artistico) and devoted himself to his painting instinct. By 1972, he had his first solo exhibition in Milan, where his work was appreciated for the personality expressed in his vedute. Numerous exhibitions followed across Italy, affirming him as a skilled figurative artist. On his many travels, he embraces and develops themes that are distant from our established perceptions while maturing his artistic experience. Living in the USA and Sri Lanka in 1987, he found an innovative approach that he incorporated into his paintings. In 1990, he was appointed secretary of the Gruppo Labronico, one of the oldest artistic associations, which has had members such as Annigoni, Modigliani, and Nomellini. He lives and works in Livorno, which dedicated an anthological exhibition to him in “Bottini dell’olio.” To date, he has exhibited in numerous public and private galleries. In 2000, he was among the artists selected to mark the millennium, in 2002 exhibited in New York, and in 2003 at the Brussels Parliament.
