About the author:
Born in 1953 in Livorno. As a young man, he follows his grandfather, a famous Italian painter, familiarizing himself with the period of Italian painting at the turn of the 19th to the 20th century.
In 1968, he enrolled in the school of applied arts (Liceo Artistico) and devoted himself to his painting instinct. By 1972, he had his first solo exhibition in Milan where his work was valued for the personality expressed through his vedute. Numerous exhibitions across Italy followed, where he established himself as an excellent figurative artist. During his many travels, he embraces and develops themes distant from our usual perceptions, while his artistic experience matures. Living in the USA and Sri Lanka in 1987, he found an innovative approach that he incorporated into his paintings. In 1990, he was appointed secretary of the Labronico Group, one of the oldest artist associations, which historically included members like Annigoni, Modigliani, and Nomellini. He lives and works in Livorno, which dedicated an anthological exhibition to him in “Bottini dell’olio.” So far, he has exhibited in numerous exhibitions in public and private galleries. In 2000, he was among the artists selected for the millennium celebration, exhibited in New York in 2002, and in the Brussels Parliament in 2003.
