About the author:
Born in 1953 in Livorno. As a young man, he follows his grandfather, a famous Italian painter, acquainting himself with the period of Italian painting at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
In 1968, he enrolled in the school of applied arts (Liceo Artistico) and devoted himself to his painting instinct. By 1972, he held his first solo exhibition in Milan, where his work was appreciated for the personality expressed in his vedute. Numerous exhibitions across Italy followed, affirming him as a distinguished figurative artist. During his many travels, he embraced and developed themes far removed from our conventional perceptions while his artistic experience matured. Living in the USA and Sri Lanka in 1987, he found an innovative approach incorporated into his artistic achievements. In 1990, he was appointed secretary of the Labronico Group, one of the oldest artistic associations, which in its history had members like Annigoni, Modigliani, and Nomellini. He lives and works in Livorno, which dedicated an anthological exhibition to him at “Bottini dell’olio.” He has exhibited in numerous public and private galleries to date. In 2000, he was among the artists selected to mark the millennium, exhibited in New York in 2002, and at the Brussels Parliament in 2003.
