About the author:
Born in 1953 in Livorno. As a young man, he follows his grandfather, a well-known Italian painter, acquainting himself with the period of Italian painting at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
In 1968 he enrolls in the applied arts school (Liceo Artistico) and dedicates himself to his painting instinct. By 1972, he holds his first solo exhibition in Milan where his work is appreciated for the personality expressed in his vedute. Numerous exhibitions follow throughout Italy, where he establishes himself as an excellent figurative artist. On his many travels, he embraces and develops themes that are distant from our established perceptions while also maturing his artistic experience. Living in the USA and Sri Lanka in 1987, he finds an innovative approach that he incorporates into his paintings. In 1990, he was appointed secretary of the Gruppo Labronico, one of the oldest artistic associations, whose history includes members like Annigoni, Modigliani, and Nomellini. He lives and works in Livorno, which dedicated to him an anthological exhibition at the “Bottini dell’olio”. To date, he has exhibited in numerous public and private galleries. In 2000, he was among the artists selected to mark the millennium, exhibited in New York in 2002, and in the Brussels Parliament in 2003.
