About the author:

Born in 1953 in Livorno. As a young man, he follows his grandfather, a famous Italian painter, acquainting himself with the period of Italian painting at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
In 1968, he enrolled in a school of applied arts (Liceo Artistico) and devoted himself to his painterly instinct. Already in 1972, he held his first solo exhibition in Milan, where his work was appreciated for the personality expressed by his vedute. Numerous exhibitions across Italy followed, affirming him as an excellent figurative artist. During his many travels, he embraces and develops themes that diverge from our established perceptions, while his artistic experience simultaneously matures. Living in the USA and Sri Lanka in 1987, he finds an innovative approach that he incorporates into his paintings. In 1990, he was appointed secretary of the Gruppo Labronico, one of the oldest artistic associations, which historically included members such as Annigoni, Modigliani, and Nomellini. He lives and works in Livorno, which dedicated an anthology exhibition to him at “Bottini dell’olio”. He has so far exhibited in numerous exhibitions in public and private galleries. In 2000, he was among the artists selected to mark the millennium, exhibited in New York in 2002, and in the Brussels Parliament in 2003.
