About the author:
Born in 1953 in Livorno. As a young man, he follows his grandfather, a well-known Italian painter, becoming acquainted with the period of Italian painting at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries.
In 1968, he enrolled in the applied arts school (Liceo Artistico) and devoted himself to his painting instinct. By 1972, he held his first solo exhibition in Milan, where his work was appreciated for the personality expressed in his vedute. Numerous exhibitions followed throughout Italy, establishing him as a distinguished figurative artist. During his many travels, he embraced and developed themes distant from our established perceptions, while his artistic experience matured. Living in the USA and Sri Lanka in 1987, he found an innovative approach that he incorporates into his paintings. In 1990, he was appointed secretary of the Labronico Group, one of the oldest artists’ associations, which in its history has had members such as Annigoni, Modigliani, and Nomellini. He lives and works in Livorno, which dedicated an anthological exhibition to him at “Bottini dell’olio.” So far, he has exhibited in numerous shows in public and private galleries. In 2000, he was among the artists selected to mark the millennium, exhibited in New York in 2002, and in the Brussels Parliament in 2003.
