Maja Erdeljanin – Horizontal Shape

She was born in 1971 in Novi Sad (Vojvodina/Serbia). She graduated from the Painting Department of the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad in the class of Prof. D. Todorović. She completed her master’s degree (master studies) under the same professor. She has participated in over 130 group exhibitions and in more than sixty art colonies and symposia (Serbia, Montenegro, Greece, Norway, Italy, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria). She has held about forty solo exhibitions across Europe. In 2003, she stayed at the Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris.

She is a member of SULUV and ULUSA. Co-founder and president of the Gallery and Association of Visual Artists “DA”, member of the Astronomical Society “ADNOS”, president of the artistic council of SULUV, art editor of the gallery “PODRUM”. In 2005, she also became editor of the visual arts program at the Cultural Center of Novi Sad, and since 2007 a co-founder of the gallery and group “16_11 Urban District”. She has published three books (the novel “Naglas”, “Sketches of the Cookbook”, and the travelogue “La razglednica”).
