About the author:
She was born in 1970 in Skopje, Macedonia. The daughter of a well-known Macedonian painter, she grew up in an artistic environment. She graduated from the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje, after which she specialized in painting in Paris. She pursued postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Art, Architecture, and Design in Prague (Czech Republic) and at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje. She obtained her doctorate in 2016 at the “Marko Cepenkov” Institute of Folklore in Skopje.
She is a member of the Society of Fine Artists of Macedonia (DLUM) and the Society of Macedonian Fashion Designers. So far, she has exhibited in 30 solo and numerous group exhibitions in Macedonia and abroad—in Austria, the USA, France, Germany, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, and Croatia. She organizes and curates numerous art projects, among which “Femine 8” stands out—a successful exhibition showcasing her work beyond her country’s borders.
Her artistic activities include painting, graphics, performance, video, photography, and fashion design. She currently serves as dean and professor at the Faculty of Art and Design at the European University in Skopje, where she also resides.
