About the author:He was born in 1971 in Tbilisi, Georgia. He graduated in forestry from the Georgian Agricultural University, simultaneously studying at the theatre academy, and in 1996 enrolled at the Faculty of Biological Sciences. However, he abandoned formal education and degrees to devote himself to art. His father, a famous painter himself, was his first teacher, and his first painting dates back to 1993, from when painting became his sole occupation. His artistic work can be divided into three phases: the first is rooted in Georgian tradition and folklore, the second dedicated to his hometown Tbilisi, both belonging to the ‘Georgian period,’ while the third, which the author himself calls the ‘philosophical abstraction,’ is marked by his life in France, where he has had permanent residence since 2008 (granted by invitation of the French government). Since then, he has lived and worked between France and Georgia. He has held solo exhibitions throughout France, and as a significant Georgian artist, he has been invited to exhibit in Turkey, Russia, Syria, Estonia, Switzerland, South Africa, and more. He has received numerous French and Georgian awards for his work. He regularly participates in charitable auctions, and his paintings are found in many private and public collections worldwide, such as the National Museum in Prague (Czech Republic), the Pentagon’s central office in Washington (USA), the State Tretyakov Gallery administration in Moscow (Russia),…
