Parlov Anita – Nothing Is Not As It Seems 2

Anita Parlov was born in Zagreb on August 30, 1971. In 1989, she graduated from the School of Applied Arts and Design in Zagreb, textile department. She graduated in sculpture in 1997 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in the class of Prof. Miro Vuce. Since that year, she has worked as a professor of vocational subjects at the School of Applied Arts in Zagreb. From 2000 until September 2006, she was the head of the exhibition salon “Izidor Krsnjavi” in Zagreb. To date, she has held five solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions since 1992. She is a member of HDLU. This year, together with Sinisa Majkus, she presented herself at a highly noted exhibition in Hungary. Her painting belongs to the tradition of lyrical abstraction, which we today interpret more as color field painting.
