Parlov Anita – Sun in a Cloak

Anita Parlov was born in Zagreb on August 30, 1971. In 1989, she graduated from the School of Applied Arts and Design in Zagreb, textile department. She graduated in sculpture in 1997 at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in the class of Professor Mira Vuce. Since that same year, she has been working as a professor of professional subjects at the School of Applied Arts in Zagreb. From 2000 until September 2006, she was the head of the exhibition salon “Izidor Krsnjavi” in Zagreb. To date, she has held five solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions since 1992. She is a member of HDLU. This year, together with Siniša Majkus, she participated in a highly praised exhibition in Hungary. Her painting belongs to the tradition of lyrical abstraction, which today is more often interpreted as color field painting.
