Petra Jovanovska – Impression from Rab

About the author:She was born in 1972 in Jesenik, Czech Republic. After high school and attending art courses at the Art School in Jesenik, in 1990 she enrolled in Graphics at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Skopje, where she graduated in 1995. She has held 42 solo exhibitions and participated in 230 group juried and invitational exhibitions in North Macedonia, the Czech Republic, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Italy, France, Portugal, and Malaysia. She stayed at an artist residency at the International City of Arts in Paris and participated in about 20 international artist colonies abroad. She has received numerous awards for her work: the Macedonian Artists Association Award “Grand Prix” at the 14th Winter Salon, the Macedonian Award “Dimche Nikolov” for Graphics in 2012, Recognition for Small Graphics at the Inter-Art Biennale in Romania in 2012, 1st Prize for Collage in Prague, Czech Republic, in 2003, among others. She has been a member of the Macedonian Artists Association since 2008 and a member of the Artistic Council of DLUM since 2013. She lives and works as an independent artist in Macedonia and the Czech Republic.
