About the author:He was born in 1959 in Nurachi, Sardinia, Italy. He studied at the Institute of Arts in Oristano, graduating in 1977 in the class of Prof. Antonio Amore. He began his professional painting career in 1983, working in his studio in Nurachi. Initially inclined towards figuration, he permanently embraced abstract expression, strongly imbued with elements of the national, which he composes as material objects in his paintings, such as fabric with national patterns, Sardinian soil, sheet music, and Sardinian bread – “carasau,” which became the favorite and recognizable material in his works. He has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Sardinia and other cities in Italy, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, the USA, and France. He is also the author of numerous frescoes (privately owned) and several large murals in San Sperate. He collaborates with the prestigious design house “Nazzareno Gabrielli Exclusive.” His works are held in private collections both in Italy and abroad, and form part of the holdings of numerous museums and foundations. He is the recipient of several state awards for contributions to the culture of his Sardinia.
