About the author:He was born in 1959 in Nurachi, Sardinia, Italy. He studied at the Institute of Arts in Ortisano, graduating in 1977 in the class of Prof. Antonio Amore. He began his professional career in painting in 1983, working in his studio in Nurachi. Initially inclined towards figuration, he permanently chose abstract expression, strongly imbued with elements of the national, which he composes into his paintings as material objects, such as fabric with national patterns, Sardinian earth, sheet music, and Sardinian bread – “carasau,” which becomes the favorite and recognizable material of his works. He has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Sardinia and other cities in Italy, Spain, the United Arab Emirates, the USA, and France. He is also the author of numerous frescoes (private ownership) and several large murals in San Sperate. He collaborates with the prestigious design house “Nazzareno Gabrielli Exclusive.” His works are held in private collections both in Italy and abroad and are part of the collections of numerous museums and foundations. He has received several state awards for contributions to the culture of his Sardinia.
