He was born in 1942 in Portogruaro, Italy. He graduated from the Accademia di Belle Arti in Venice, where he began his artistic evolution spanning over three decades of creativity.
His artistic development extends through several key phases:
-
Early period of materiality and informel
-
Constructivist and op-art phase influenced by Malevich and Vasarely (especially during the Paris period of the 1970s)
-
Geometric and structuralist stage
-
Period of controlled gesturality and monochromy in the 1980s
In his later period, he developed a recognizable style characterized by:
-
Radically pure color (light through color)
-
Extremely refined tonal relationships
-
Expressive power of color within strictly geometric systems
-
Structural purity combining rational analysis with poetic vision
Throughout his career, he held numerous solo and group exhibitions across Italy and Europe, consistently developing his vision of abstract art. Even today, he lives and works in his hometown of Portogruaro, where he continues his artistic explorations.
