About the author:
Born in 1967 in Ohrid, Macedonia. In 1991, she graduated from the Faculty of Applied Arts and Design in Belgrade, department of costume, and in 1999 she earned her master’s degree at the same faculty. In 2015, she defended her doctoral thesis titled “Postmodern Tendencies in the Fashion Industry” at Singidunum University in Belgrade. She is a member of ULUPUDS. Besides solo and group exhibitions at home and abroad, she has realized numerous projects in the field of fashion design and published a significant number of professional papers. From 1994 to 1997, she was employed as a professional associate at FPUD in Belgrade, and since 2000 she has worked as a professor and head of the Textile and Clothing Design study program at DTM College of Design, Technology and Management in Belgrade. She is on the editorial board of the journal “Textile Industry” and a member of the publishing committee of DTM. Since 2012, she has been a member of the organizational board of TISO ULUPUDS, Belgrade. She has participated in several international scientific and professional conferences. Among other recognitions, she received the “Pavle Vasić” award in 2011, jointly presented by MPU, FPU, and ULUPUDS for promoting critical-theoretical thought in the field of applied arts and design in Serbia, on the occasion of publishing the book “Fashion and Dressing,” as well as the annual ULUPUDS award for creative work. Since 2016, she has been the coordinator for international cooperation within the project “Pomeranje granica II,” RTS Belgrade, the leader of the project “Pomeranje granica III,” and the organizer of the exhibition at the Museum of Applied Arts in Belgrade. She has received five awards for her work. She lives and works in Belgrade (Serbia) and Ohrid (Macedonia).
