About the author:

Alfredo Rapetti was born in Milan in 1961. As a young man, he befriended many Milanese painters from the 60s and 70s through his maternal grandfather Alfredo de Pedrinis (president of the Graphic Artists Association), and he began painting himself. At sixteen, he enrolled in the Comics School in Milan, which he attended for two years, collaborating with school and student newspapers. Later, he painted irregularly, changing techniques and styles. In 1996, Alessandro Algardi and Mario Arlati invited him to collaborate with them at the studio on Nota Street, where he worked intensively for four full years. In 1998, he began collaborating with photographer Fabrizio Ferri on a series of multimedia projects. Since 1999, he has exhibited in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Italy and abroad. In 2004, he joined the European group “Signes et traces” founded by the artist Riccardo Licata in Paris, and in 2005, he received the City of Rome award for painting. Since 2000, numerous articles and publications have been released about his work, including seven monographs dedicated to his art.
