Aleksandra Ristovska – One of Those Missed

About the author:She was born in 1981 in Skopje, Macedonia. She graduated in 2005 from the Faculty of Fine Arts, specializing in graphic design in 2011. In 2017, she earned her doctorate at the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, in the Department of Cultural Studies. She is a visual artist and assistant professor at the International Balkan University – Faculty of Arts and Design. She has received several awards in the field of culture and art: a Gold Medal for painting in a competition among 50 countries in Beirut, as well as award residencies from the European Cultural Foundation in the Netherlands and KulturKontakt Austria in Vienna. She participates as a lecturer at numerous symposia and scientific conferences, and participates in important juried, biennial exhibitions in her home country and in Serbia, Germany, Slovenia, Croatia, the Netherlands, Austria, and the United Kingdom. She lives and works in Skopje, Macedonia.
