Šalić Petar – Palms

About the author:He was born in 1974 in Zagreb. He graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. He is a member of HDLU Zagreb. He has exhibited solo at the gallery of the School of Applied Arts in Zagreb. He received the ALU award upon graduation. His painterly expression is based on a sense of color and the light in color. There are no people in his paintings, only nature — the vast, powerful kind, with vegetation pulsating strongly in intense greenery and with animals (monkeys, giraffes, birds) having human-like characteristics. In strict, sharply cut fields, everything lives in harmony, with a full breath. His painting is direct and sincere, exotic in experience, authentic in expression, focused on color and composition, with motifs arranged in relation to these visual elements. He lives and works in Zagreb.
