Šalić Petar – Toucan and Palms

About the author:He was born in 1974 in Zagreb. He graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. He is a member of HDLU Zagreb. He has exhibited independently at the Gallery of the School for Applied Arts in Zagreb. He received the ALU award upon graduation. His painterly language is based on a sense of color and light in color. There are no humans in his paintings, only nature—the vast, powerful kind—with vegetation that pulses strongly in intense greenery and animals (monkeys, giraffes, birds) bearing human traits. In strict, sharply cut fields, everything lives in harmony, with full breath. His painting is direct and sincere, exotic in experience, authentic in expression, focused on color and composition, with motifs formed from these visual elements. He lives and works in Zagreb.
