Đuro Seder – Landscape from Rab

He was born in 1927 in Zagreb. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in the class of Prof. Antun Mejzdić. He completed a specialization in painting under Prof. Marin Tartaglia. He was a professor at the Academy of Fine Arts, where from 1983 to 1987 he served as dean. He lives and works in Zagreb. He is a member of the Croatian Academy of Sciences and Arts (HAZU). He is one of the most significant figures in contemporary Croatian painting. He also published poetry. His paintings are held in museums, galleries, and private collections both domestically and internationally.
