About the author:
Slovenian painter and illustrator, born in 1951 in Kamno, Slovenia. He completed secondary school at Georg Vega. In 1977, he graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, where he continued specialization in painting under professors I. Bernik, K. Meška, and S. Polanc. In 1996, he furthered his studies at the Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris.
Besides painting, he works in graphics and stained glass, wall techniques, and book illustration for both young and adult audiences. He has received numerous awards for his work (winner of sixteen awards) both domestically and abroad. He has illustrated around 53 literary works and exhibited in more than one hundred solo exhibitions, participated in over two hundred group exhibitions, numerous art workshops, and symposia. He is a member of the Society of Fine Artists of Slovenia and a member of the illustrators of ZDSLU Slovenia. As a freelance artist, he lives and works in Žibršak near Logatec.
