Skočir Rudi – Enigma of the Red Prophetess

Slovenian painter and illustrator, born in 1951 in Kamno, Slovenia. He completed high school at Georg Vega. In 1977, he graduated in painting from the Academy of Fine Arts in Ljubljana, where he continued his specialization in painting under professors I. Bernik, K. Meška, and S. Polanc. In 1996, he perfected his skills at the Cite Internationale des Arts in Paris.

In addition to painting, he works in graphics and stained glass, mural techniques, and illustration of books for young and adult audiences. He has received numerous awards for his work (winner of sixteen awards) both domestically and internationally. He has illustrated about 53 literary works and exhibited in over one hundred solo exhibitions, participated in more than two hundred group exhibitions, as well as many art workshops and symposiums. He is a member of the Slovenian Association of Fine Artists and a member of the Slovenian Association of Illustrators ZDSLU. As a freelance creator, he lives and works in Žibršak near Logatec.
