Ana Sladetić – Valentin’s Gaze

Ana Sladetić was born in Ilok on September 4, 1985. She graduated from the School of Textile, Design, and Applied Arts in Osijek, majoring in Graphics, and then enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb, where she graduated from the Graphics department under the mentorship of Professor Z. Tisljara. She has held three solo exhibitions and participated in about twenty group exhibitions, as well as in various art colonies. Although very young, she has won numerous awards, and this year she also won the Grand Prix at the Illustration Biennale in Zagreb. She is a member of HDLU and ULUS, and a postgraduate student at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb. She is inspired by the softness of watercolor and the firmness of pen and ink lines. She nurtures simplicity of expression in themes of socially intimate nature.
