Štimac Goran – Paradiso I

Born in 1959 in Rijeka. In 1981, he enrolled in the Pedagogical Faculty in Rijeka, majoring in fine arts, specializing in sculpture under Prof. J. Diminić, and in 1984, he moved to Zagreb and enrolled in sculpture at the Academy of Fine Arts, graduating in 1988 under Marija Ujević. Since 1986, he has been a member of HDLU and ZUH. At the end of 1992, he went to Vienna where he enrolled at the College of Applied Arts and studied scenography. He participated in the creation of numerous scenographies for about twenty productions of the Austrian theater. He also took part in organizing exhibitions of contemporary Croatian art. In 1996, he was employed at the Pedagogical Faculty in Rijeka as an assistant, later as a lecturer, and in 2006 he was appointed dean of the Rijeka Academy. He has prepared about fifty solo exhibitions of recent cycles of drawings, paintings, and sculptures and has participated in more than one hundred juried conceptual, thematic, biennial, and triennial exhibitions. He lives in Opatija.
