Stojanovski Krunislav – From the Faces Cycle

The Croatian painter was born in Skopje, Macedonia. He studied veterinary medicine and architecture, and graduated in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in the class of today’s emeritus professor Đuro Seder. He studied Public Art in the USA, at the Sommerakademie in Salzburg, and since 1998 has worked professionally and improved his skills at the Cable Factory in Helsinki. He is a member of HDLU and HZSU. He has exhibited in about 20 solo exhibitions and over 30 group exhibitions. He has received many awards, including those from UNICEF and UNESCO in the field of art. He works in painting, drawing, installation, photography, video, and writing.

The themes of his artistic activity have strong social, humanistic, and ecological connotations, with a special emphasis on the individual and their role and significance on this planet. He is a painter of abstract expressionism who, by creating his own archetypes of painterly narration, carries forth a transformed personal vision of color in fields of pure painting where color carries the visual story.
