About the author:
The Croatian painter was born in Skopje, Macedonia. He studied veterinary medicine and architecture, and graduated in painting at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in the class of today’s emeritus professor Đuro Seder. He studied Public Art in the USA, at the Sommerakademie in Salzburg, and in 1998 professionally worked and improved his skills at the Cable Factory in Helsinki. He is a member of HDLU and HZSU. He has exhibited in around 20 solo exhibitions and over 30 group exhibitions. He is the recipient of many awards, including those from UNICEF and UNESCO in the field of art. He is engaged in painting, drawing, installation, photography, video, and writing.
The themes of his artistic work carry strong social, humanistic, and ecological connotations with a special emphasis on the individual and their role and significance on this planet. He is a painter of abstract expressionism who, by creating his own archetypes of painterly narrative, presents a reformed personal vision of color in one breath within fields of pure painting where color carries the pictorial story.
