About the author:

Alexander Trifonov is a Russian painter of the third generation of the Russian Avant-garde, born in 1975 in Moscow. He studied at the Moscow Polytechnic Institute, where he obtained a degree in design. He has been working in Moscow theater since the early 1990s. Since 1993, he has also collaborated with Moscow’s Art Kino and worked as a designer for many magazines and advertisements. He is a member of the Union of Artists of Russia. He has exhibited in numerous group and solo exhibitions (Moscow, New York, Jersey City, Malta). His exhibition at the prestigious Moscow gallery A-3 was opened by Eduard Drobitsky, president of the International Federation of Painters under UNESCO. Trifonov is a prominent follower of the Russian avant-garde and one of the leaders of the artistic concept known as Receptualism. For Trifonov, being a painter means creating his own, unique world. He explores the deep laws of visual means. Intuitive composition gives way to the principles of order and relationships. He builds the structure of the painting with colored surfaces where pure color itself carries the form.
