About the author:
She was born in Amsterdam. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Toledo in 1985, after which she specialized in painting at the prestigious Van Gogh Museum in her hometown of Amsterdam. As a research-oriented artist, she expanded her knowledge through study stays in New York, Toledo, and Buenos Aires, and enriched her artistic experience by participating in art colonies, including the Chair of the Chakavian Assembly of Grobnišćina in Croatia.
Although she began her artistic journey in Spain and developed professionally through international experiences, the artist has maintained a strong connection to her hometown, where she still lives and works today. Her oeuvre, shaped by the influence of various cultural environments, represents a unique blend of Mediterranean and Dutch artistic traditions with modern tendencies of contemporary painting. Through her work, she continuously explores new techniques and expressive possibilities while maintaining a dialogue with classical painting heritage.
