Varzić Eugen – Play with Fear

Born in Đakovo, Croatia in 1972. Eugen graduated in painting ffom the faculty of Philosophy in Rijeka in 1999. He exhibited his work in many individual shows and in more than a hundred group shovvs in the country and abroad. He has received several awards, organised numerous art projects (Street Art Poreč, Ex tempora Nova Vast and Funtana), as well as collaborateđ in a number of intemational art projects in Slovenia and Italy. His works can be found in many public spaces, private collections and sacral buildings. He has been included in the Lexicon of the Fantastic and the Contemporary Art, and his work ’Eva’ is displayed in The Museum of Fantastic Art in Vienna. Since 2009 he has been involved in the fine art project Corys Art at Cortina, Italy. He also works in design, makes short films and runs painting workshops. He makes ceiling paintings, altarpieces and church paintings for several sacral buildings in the Istria County. He is a member of the Croatian Association of Istrian Artists and the Croatian Freelance Artists’ Association. He lives and works in Nova Vas near Poreč.
