About the author:
He was born in 1945 in Doboj. He graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb in 1970, where he studied under the renowned professor Antun Mezdjić. He began his artistic career with a solo exhibition of drawings in 1974 at the Medveščak Library in Zagreb.
He was a prominent member and one of the founders of the Josip Račić Gallery in Zagreb in 1976, which was a significant chapter in his professional development. In 1986, he achieved an important artistic feat by creating a graphic portfolio of monotypes titled “Pastorale” in the Biškupić edition. His body of work is documented in two extensive monographs – the first published in 1986, and the second in 1999.
He is a member of the Croatian Artists’ Association in Zagreb and holds the status of an independent artist. Through his long-standing work, he has developed a recognizable artistic expression based on a deep knowledge of technique and his own visual language. He still lives and works in Zagreb, where he continues his artistic practice.
