Vicari Marika – Rab Landscape / Escape to Rab

She was born in 1979 in Vicenza. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice and completed a specialization study in Visual Arts and Production at the University of Architecture in Venice. She has exhibited in numerous group and solo international exhibitions and is the recipient of significant awards at international biennial exhibitions. She lives and works in Vicenza, Venice, and Ptuj.

Her painting research stems from the investigation of imaginary forms in the process of reconstructing the depicted, which mainly develops on an intellectual level to bring the story to nature. These are linear elaborates, monochromatic, guided by complex rigor. Marika essentially investigates the nature of the painting by composing the structure of vision in its two-dimensional meaning.
