Vladimir Petrik – Untitled 1

He was born in 1953 in Bratislava, Slovakia. From 1969 to 1973, he attended the School of Applied Arts, and then in 1973 enrolled at the Academy of Fine Arts in Bratislava, where he graduated from the mural painting department, studying under Prof. Robert Dubravec, Prof. František Gajdoš, and Prof. Dezider Castiglione. In 2003, he earned a doctorate from the same academy. He works in painting, graphic art, drawing, illustration, film, and creates monumental wall paintings, murals, and frescoes. He teaches at the Design Institute of the Faculty of Architecture at the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, where he lives and works as an artist.
