About the author:
She was born in 1973 in Vinica, Macedonia. She graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts in Skopje in 1997. In 2005, she earned a master’s degree at the Design Studio of Saint Martin’s College of Art and Design in London, and obtained her PhD at the Institute of Folklore “Marko Cepenkov” in Skopje in 2016.
She has participated in 15 solo and numerous group exhibitions in her country, Germany, Poland, Great Britain, Italy, Belgium, China, the USA, Croatia, and elsewhere. She is the recipient of significant awards, including the prestigious Pollock-Krasner Foundation grant for 2014/2015.
Since 2006, she has been teaching at the Faculty of Arts and Design at the European University in Skopje. Her research and artistic work is based on personal, socio-cultural, and political themes.
