About the author:
He was born in Cologne in 1955. He studied at the Academy of Graphic Arts in Munich. He worked as a stage design apprentice at the theater in Bremen, as a critic and freelance journalist. Until 1994, he served as the president of the Bavarian art institution Kulturwerkstatt. Significant are his study stays in Tallinn and the Tatras (Estonia). Since 1996, he has been the head of the Print Workshop at Furstenfelden Abbey. He is also a recipient of several scholarships. He has participated in important exhibitions in France, Hungary, and international art symposia in Romania and Austria. Since 2005, he has been a lecturer at the Imperial Hall Art Academy and Stift Geras in Austria, as well as at the Munich Adult Education Center. He lives and works in Jengen and Munich. The artistic world of this author rests on informal and gestural painting. It reveals a tendency towards processuality and, although based on concepts of nature, these are mental landscapes, reflections.
