About the author:
“Her oeuvre lives, grows, and endures with us for over twenty years confirming the view that an artist can survive alone, outside groups and trends. She carries color within herself; it needs no thought, it is always the most important to her, every touch with the tangible world is linked to it. It is no wonder that her painterly handwriting unfolds inquiries and discoveries within a Matissean Fauvist interpretation of reality. She begins with the observation of recognizable space which she decomposes to compose the picture’s harmony. She breaks down in order to unite into a new quality… And she finds painting sensation in the harshness of flat, sharply edged surfaces, the sharpness of right angles, and the construction of architectural elements, but also in the softness, flexibility, and playfulness of palm or aralia leaves. And she simply enjoys the new harmony of fragments of the concrete world, in the discipline of creation and the order of scenic articulation.” (Branka Arh)
