Zlatko Milaković – Light in the Forest

Born in Travnik, Bosnia and Herzegovina, in 1959. He came to Zagreb as a seventeen-year-old, attended the 1301 Comprehensive secondary school, and then studied political science, gaining the title of political scientist. In 1992 he received a Croatian government scholarship for a two-year course in management in London, after which he continues his professional development in the field of finance, working in leading positions in banks and insurance companies. He is a prominent Croatian athlete – the national champion in javelin throw. He has also worked as a journalist-editor in Croatian press. Today he is professionally involved in painting. He has acquired the knowledge of painting by associating and working with a number of well-known teachers and artists like Professor Carmello Zotti, the Dean and Professor Zoran Todović from Novi Sad, curator Antonio Coratti, Jurij Baldani. His works can be found in many galleries and private collections. He has organized several noted exhibitions. At the exhibition organized by Art&Beyond magazine in the USA in 2013 during a world open competition, he received a painting award and was listed in the publication The Living Artists of Today (published by Ingram). He lives and works in Samobor, near Zagreb.
